The Graduate
Management Admission (GMAT) test is a computer based
test formulated by ETS (Education Testing Service)
and administered by the Graduate Management Admission
Council. It is a fundamental criterion for admission
into Graduate Management schools. The GMAT consists
of a Verbal Portion, A Quantitative portion and
an Analytical Writing Portion.
The
following is a brief outline of the GMAT.
The
Verbal Portion
This portion consists of 41 questions
to be solved in 75 minutes with the question types
being Critical Reasoning, Sentence Correction and
Reading Comprehension.
The Mathematical Portion
This portion consists
of 41 questions to be solved in 75 minutes with
the question types being Problem
Solving and Data Sufficiency
The Analytical Writing Portion
This consists
of 2 essays to be written in 1 hour. The essays
involve the Analysis of an
Issue and the Analysis of an Argument
